A full day retreat designed to help you unwind, restore and reconnect with your body through guided Pilates, deep relaxation and a soothing sound bath. Across 6 nourishing hours you’ll move gently, breath deeply and release tension, all in a cosy setting on the North York Moors National Park.
THE DAY’S SCHEDULE
09:45 – 10:00am – Arrive and Settle
Warm welcome, herbal tea station, guests can write an optional ‘intention card.’
10:00 – 11:00am – Cosy Morning Pilates (mobility and gentle heat)
Slow warming mobility flow with introduction/reminder to Pilates technique and breathing. Focus on releasing neck. shoulders, lower back.
11:00 – 11:15am – Morning Break
Tea, warming snacks
11:15 – 12:00pm – Body Scan + Nervous System Downshift
Guided body scan with ‘winter cocoon’ imagery. Rest, quiet and permission to switch off.
12:00 – 1:00pm – Lunch
Warm, grounding vegetarian lunch
1:00 – 2:00pm – Strength + Everyday Mobility Pilates
Stronger class, steady and supportive. And with a take home Pilates exercise sheet for a short daily practice.
2:00 – 2:15pm – Afternoon Break
Time for some fresh moors air? Or cosy up with a cup of tea inside.
2:15 – 3:15pm – Winter Sound Bath
Think dimmed lights, blankets and fluffy socks. And cosy warm underfloor heating.
A Sound Bath is a therapeutic and relaxing experience where participants sit or lie in a relaxed position and are immersed in the sounds of crystal singing bowls, tibetan singing bowls, gongs, chimes and drums. The immersive sounds can help to quiet the mind and achieve a state of deep relaxation. The session finishes with a grounding exercise to bring you back to the present moment.
3:15 – 3:30pm – Grounding and soothing herbal teas
3:30 – 4:00pm – Take home tools + Finish

ABOUT THE VENUE: The Tree relaxation centre has a beautifully calm and cosy aura and is set in open countryside in the North York Moors National Park. It’s a peaceful retreat from the outside world where you can leave your everyday stresses behind. The retreat will be held in the purpose built studio in the Old Chapel with large windows overlooking the valley. It’s a gorgeous space with lovely acoustics.
ABOUT THE TEACHER: Hello, I’m Vicky, Studio 21’s Owner and Pilates Teacher, I’ve been teaching for 16 years and running retreats at The Tree for 8 years. Normally weekend retreats, this is my first day retreat at The Tree and I can’t wait to deliver this day of Pilates, strength, mobility and a relaxing sound bath, Suitable for complete beginners and those who practice Pilates regularly.
